Teletherapy is defined by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners as “a method of delivering mental health counseling, psychotherapy, and marriage and family therapy services as prescribed by R.S. 37:1101 and R.S. 37:1116 using interactive technology-assisted media to facilitate prevention, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral, relational, and addiction disorders to individuals, groups, organizations, or the general public that enables a licensee and a client(s) separated by distance to interact via synchronous video and audio transmission”

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, I have had the opportunity and honor to continue to serve my clients via teletherapy services. Albeit I am old fashioned and still prefer to sit with my clients in person, I also recognize how in person meetings can be difficult at times. Additional expense with fuel costs coupled with time constraints can make access to services incredibly challenging for many people. If you are interested, I am very happy to explore the option of counseling services delivered to you virtually. In the comfort of your home or office, or vehicle, or park, etc. we can carve out unique goals and tackle them together!
