Yevonne M. Baran, PhD is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Approved Supervisor for both LPC’s and LMFT’s. Dr. Baran is proud to additionally hold the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor credential. 

Her didactic education is as follows:

  • BA (Magna Cum Laude) in Community Mental Health from the State University of New York at Buffalo
  • MEd in Human Services Counseling from the University of New Orleans
  • PhD (Doctorate in Philosophy) in Counselor Education and Supervision with a Specialization in Marriage & Family Therapy.

She has obtained the following specialized credentials: Trained Domestic Mediator, Qualified Parenting Coordinator, and Trained Professional Supervised Visitation Provider.

Dr. Baran enjoys numerous professional memberships: Clinical Fellow and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT); Member of the Louisiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (LAMFT), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Louisiana Counseling Association (LCA), and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC).

navyShe grew up in the Northeast and has lived in 8 different states. Yevonne is a veteran of the United States Air Force where she earned a diploma in Public Health from the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine and was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service. She has additional experience with the military as a Civilian Clinical Counselor for the United States Navy.
